In particular, do not use these products if your kidney or liver function
is in anyway impaired.
ADRAFINIL (Olmifon)
Rapidly restores vigilance and alertness in older people and the physically
and mentally tired. Has a powerful antidepressant action far superior to
that of fluoxetine (Prozac) and clomipramine (Anafranil) and is without
any serious side effects. Adrafinil restores your powers of concentration,
memory and intellectual function. When administered to older people, who
have lost interest in life, adrafinil makes them want to take part in life
again and they find that they have renewed energy and vigour. Adrafinil
may be correctly described as an anti-aging drug because it directly combats
degeneration in the part of the brain that allows you to take pleasure
in life. Elderly people very often have disturbed sleep patterns and take
many naps during the day - many fall asleep in front of the television.
Adrafinil restores a youthful sleep\wake cycle of full alertness in the
daytime and deep restorative sleep at night. After several weeks of treatment
with adrafinil daytime sleepiness disappears, interest in intellectual
activity is restored and depression lifts. It is very important to note
that this improved quality of alertness is NOT accompanied with mental
excitation and insomnia as occurs with amphetamine or caffeine. The correct
dosage is 300 to 600 mg per day. The dosage can be adjusted according to
response. Remember it takes three weeks for all the effects of adrafinil
to become apparent. Do not use adrafinil if you have any type of kidney
or liver problem or if you suffer from epilepsy.
ANIRACETAM
A nootropic drug with a similar low toxicity to piracetam, however, having
a larger range and stronger nootropic effects - particularly increasing
intellectual activity. Improves immune function and increases resistance
to infection, generates a feeling of health and well-being, particularly
in the elderly. Aniracetam may be taken in high doses for long periods
provided that you have no kidney or liver problems. The total daily dose
should be 1500 mg in two divided doses. Some people may experience insomnia,
in which case it is necessary to take all 1500 mg in the morning. Aniracetam
is not known to interact with other drugs and can be safely taken in combination.
BIOSTIM
An immune system stimulant which increases your resistance to infections.
If you are prone to bronchitis, colds or flu then Biostim will help reduce
the number of infections that you get. It is usually only necessary to
undergo Biostim treatment once a year. To obtain maximum benefit from Biostim
treatment you must use it in the correct way. You need 4 boxes for one
course of treatment. Proceed as follows: Take 2 tablets every day for 8
days, stop treatment for 3 weeks. Take 1 tablet every day for 8 days, stop
treatment for 3 weeks. Finally, take 1 tablet every day for 8 days. Take
the Biostim tablets in the morning before breakfast. If you usually suffer
many infections in a year then you may want to consider a second course
of treatment several months after the first. If you regularly suffer from
bronchitis in the winter then take Biostim every September\October. Biostim
should not be taken by anybody who suffers from any type of autoimmune
disease.
CENTROPHENOXINE (Lucidril)
One of the first drugs proven to have any anti-aging properties. Centrophenoxine
increases the uptake and utilization by the brain of glucose (an energy
source). This allows a youthful metabolism to be maintained in the brain
and restores energy to tired brain cells. This brain activation stimulates
good circulation of blood around the brain and may help to prevent strokes.
Centrophenoxine may be used to combat brain aging and in particular improve
powers of memory and recall. Centrophenoxine removes cellular rubbish (lipofuscin)
from your cells and gives you a more youthful metabolism. The usual dose
is 2 tablets in the morning and 2 at midday. This dosage can be increased
according to need. Centrophenoxine may be safely combined with other nootropic
drugs.
CLOBENZOREX
Clobenzorex can ONLY be used as part of a calorie-controlled diet to aid
weight-loss. Clobenzorex works by suppressing your appetite and so allowing
less snacking between meals. Unfortunately, tolerance can develop to clobenzorex
after 6 weeks, so it is best to limit your use of the drug to no more than
6 weeks. If you find that you are becoming tolerant to the effects of clobenzorex
then stop treatment - do NOT increase the dose. The proper dosage is 1
capsule in the morning and 1 capsule an hour before lunch. In certain resistant
cases it is necessary to take 2 capsules in the morning and 1 capsule an
hour before lunch. Clobenzorex should not be taken after midday, otherwise
you will have difficulty sleeping. If you suffer from any type of medical
complaint for which you are under the care of a physician then do not use
clobenzorex. If you have a history of anorexia then do not use clobenzorex.
Clobenzorex may rarely cause constipation and/or mouth dryness in which
case stop taking the drug or reduce the amount of the drug that you are
taking.
DEPRENYL (L-Deprenyl HC1).
Deprenyl has many protective properties in the brain, including maintaining
dopamine levels, protection of very delicate brain cells against environmental
toxins and poisons and rescuing damaged brain cells from otherwise certain
death. Deprenyl can be used at low doses of 1-2 mg per day to protect against
neurological diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, If you are over
45 you should use low daily doses of deprenyl to keep your brain healthy
and protect yourself against mental decline. Do not take more than 5 mg
deprenyl every day. Do not take deprenyl at the same time as any SSRI antidepressant,
e.g. fluoxetine (Prozac), paroxetine (Paxil) or sertraline (Zoloft). Do
not take deprenyl at the same time as any tricyclic antidepressants, e.g.
amitryptyline (Elavil), protriptyline (Vivactil) etc. Do not take deprenyl
at the same time as meperidine (Demerol) or sumatriptan (Imitrex).
FINASTERIDE
Finasteride is an inhibitor of an enzyme in the skin that is believed to
play a role in male pattern baldness. By inhibiting this enzyme, it is
possible to stop the balding process and even grow new hair. The product
can be very effectively used in combination with 5% topical minoxidil.
The recommended dosage is one 1 mg tablet per day with or without food.
Although early improvement may be seen it is necessary to take one finasteride
tablet daily for at least six months to assess the benefits properly. Treatment
should be long term. Finasteride should absolutely NOT be used by women.
Small amounts of finasteride are known to be found in semen. It is not
known whether a male fetus may be adversely affected if his mother is exposed
to the semen of a man using finasteride. Therefore, when the man's sexual
partner is or may become pregnant, the man should avoid exposure of his
partner to semen by using a condom.
HYDERGINE (Generic as ergoloid mesylates 2:1)
Widely used to reverse and prevent the signs of brain aging. Stimulates
attention, memory and intellectual activity. Particularly effective for
older people. Ergoloid mesylates can prevent many of the degenerative changes
in the brain if treatment is started early enough, i.e. in middle age before
the damage becomes irreversible. 1 to 2 tablets per day with food is the
usual dose. Start with a low dose otherwise you may experience nausea and
nasal congestion. You can avoid any side effects by starting at a low dose
(half of one tablet) and increasing slowly over a period of days.
IDEBENONE
Used as an anti-aging medicine. Idebenone has a number of potent effects
including 1) protection of the brain and other vital organs from attack
by free radicals 2) stopping blood from becoming sticky and so maintaining
a more youthful circulation 3) protection against stroke 4) maintenance
of youthful levels of messenger chemicals in the brain 5) improvement of
memory 6) strong antidepressant effect. The usual dosage of Idebenone is
2 to 3 tablets of 45 mg per day. Generally the beneficial effects of a
particular medicine do not increase with higher doses becauce often toxic
side effects are experienced. This is not the case with Idebonone. There
is no particular upper dose limit with Idebenone, since the drug's toxicity
is very low. People with Alzheimer's disease may benefit from up to 450
mg per day. It is best to take Idebenone after meals. Idebenone may be
safely taken at the same time as other nootropic agents, e.g. aniracetam,
centrophenoxine, pikamilone, piracetam etc.
KH3
Used as a general tonic, rejuvenator and to alleviate mild depression.
Restores alertness, energy, memory and concentration by increasing cellular
oxygenation. Take 2 tablets per day (1 with breakfast and 1 with your midday
meal). Treatment should be continued for at least 3 to 5 months. You should
start to experience some benefits after 3 to 6 weeks of continuous use.
Do not take KH3 if you are sensitive to procaine (Novocain) or if you are
taking sulfonamide antibiotics.
ONDANSETRON
Protects against the mental decline that occurs with aging and reduces
the effects or worry and stress on the human body. If you feel nervous
ondansetron very quickly "calms the stomach" Ondansetron is a
very potent antistress agent and can be used By people of any age to prevent
airsickness or seasickness. If you are afraid of flying then ondansetron
will ease any anxious feelings you have (much like Valium - only ondansetron
does not cause drowsiness or dependence - you cannot become addicted to
ondansetron) and also prevent airsickness. Ondansetron Blocks any feelings
of nausea that you may experience. Ondansetron is so good as an antistress
agent that it is used by the military to prevent airsickness, battle fatigue,
combat stress, seasickness and post traumatic stress disorder. Ondansetron
is very safe and does not impair alertness or concentration - in fact the
opposite is true - that is why ondansetron is used by let pilots in the
military to prevent airsickness and protect against nerve gas attack. The
usual dose is 8 mg. If you are using ondansetron to prevent air or seasickness
then you should take 8 mg half an hour before the preventive effect is
needed. If you are using ondansetron to slow brain aging then 4mg per day
is sufficient.
PHENYTOIN (DILANTIN, DI-HYDAN)
Phenytoin has a calming and "normalising" effect on an overactive
brain, thereby enhancing alertness, memory, mood and concentration. The
usual dosage is 1 00 mg per day. There are many drugs which may increase
or decrease blood levels of phenytoin or with which phenytoin may interact
adversely, therefore, caution is needed if phenytoin is taken along with
any other drugs. Avoid phenytoin if you have kidney or liver impairment.
Discontinue if skin rash develops. Do not combine the use of phenytoin
with alcohol.
PIKAMILONE
The "brain-calming" amino acid GABA cannot cross the blood brain
barrier and so pikamilone was developed in order to make GABA orally available.
Surprisingly, pikamilone turned out to have many interesting properties
of its own. Pikamilone is a memory improving (nootropic) and anxiety relieving
drug. Pikamilone does not cause drowsiness or dependence like Valium and
Xanax. Effectively combats mental and physical tiredness and prevents migraine.
To improve memory and relieve anxiety take 3 tablets per day. To prevent
and treat mental and physical tiredness take up to 6 tablets daily for
2 months. Pikamilone can be used by sportsmen to increase endurance and
speed recovery after training. To treat depression pikamilone is used at
a dose of 4 tablets daily for 2-3 months. To prevent migraine attacks take
3 tablets per day. To treat migraine use a single dose of 1 00 mg (2 tablets).
The toxicity of pikamilone is very low. Pikamilone can be safely used on
a daily basis. Headache and dizziness can occur if you take too higher
dose of pikamilone. The best dose of pikamilone can only be found by personal
experimentation. Some people get better results with low doses and others
with higher doses. Pikamilone can be safely combined with aniracetam, centrophenoxine
(Lucidril), ergoloid mesylates (Hydergine), piracetam and vinpocetine.
When pikamilone is combined with other nootropic drugs it allows lower
doses of the other drugs to be used because it potentiates their effects.
PIRACETAM
The first and most famous nootropic drug. Nootropic drugs boost the performance
of your memory and protect you against brain aging. Piracetam has a particular
and powerful action on the brain where it improves concentration, learning
and the ability to remember. Piracetam can also stimulate your immune system
and so protect you from illness. The usual dose is 3 tablets (2400 mg)
every day, however, this may be increased to 6 tablets every day. Piracetam
has a very low toxicity and may be safely taken on a continuous basis.
Piracetam can be considered as a "mind vitamin" and used regularly
to improve your intellectual performance and prevent mental decline.
PREGNENOLONE (Free Base)
A natural substance found in high concentration in the brain and having
a very wide range of anti-aging effects. Pregnenolone is a potent memory
enhancer and increases the body's resistance to stress. Pregnenolone is
also useful in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and in the reduction
of fatigue. The usual dosage is 50 to 100 mg per day. At least 2 months
treatment are needed to assess any beneficial effects of pregnenolone.
PROLINTANE (Katovit)
A stimulant with a pronounced effect on concentration skills. Prolintane
is far superior to caffeine (No Doz) Caffeine can act as a diuretic (increases
the production of urine), so whilst caffeine is effective to increase alertness
and concentration, it also increases the frequency of your visits to the
lavatory. Prolintane has no diuretic action and restores your concentration
quickly if you are tired or recovering from illness. Prolintane restores
appetite and motivation when you are recovering from influenza or some
other debilitating illness. The usual dosage is 1-2 tablets in the morning
and 1 tablet at midday. Do not take prolintane in the evening or you may
have difficulty sleeping. Do not use prolintane if you suffer from epilepsy
or if you have any heart problems.
PYRITINOL
Useful in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and to prevent brain aging.
Pyritinol increases the uptake of glucose by the brain and increases the
levels of the brain's many important chemical messengers. Pyritinol activates
the brain, increases vigilance and so enhances mental performance. The
usual daily dose for both the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and to
improve brain function is 600 mg per day. Pyritinol 5 particularly effective
as a nootropic agent when combined with piracetam. Continued treatment
with pyritinol is often accompanied by continued improvement in cognitive
function. Pyritinol has the ability to protect the delicate proteins of
your body's cells from free-radical attack. This powerful antioxidant activity
may be partly responsible for pyritinol acting as both an antirheumatic
agent and also as a nootropic. Do not take pyritinol if you suffer from
any type of kidney or liver impairment.
RIBAVIRIN
An antiviral agent with activity against many viral diseases including
hepatitis C, herpes and influenza. A first day loading dose of 1 600 mg
(in 4 divided doses) is suggested followed by 800 mg per day (in 4 divided
doses). Ribavirin treatment should last at least 5 days and no longer than
1 4 days. Ribavirin is an effective treatment for several life threatening
viral diseases. Ribavirin could save your life and many people put some
by in the event that they go down with influenza (which can be life threatening
particularly amongst the elderly).
ROXITHROMYCIN
An antibiotic with particular effectiveness against infections of 1) the
ear, nose and throat, 2) the lungs 3) the skin and 4) the genitals with
the exception of gonorrhoea. Roxithromycin is active against Helicobacter
pylon the bacterium which causes ulcers. The very latest research shows
that roxithromycin can reduce death rates from heart disease. Heart disease
may be caused by infection with a bacteria normally associated with respiratory
infections. Roxithromycin can kill the bacteria that cause heart disease
and so prevent heart attacks. The correct dose is 1 tablet of 1 50 mg in
the morning and 1 tablet of 1 50 mg in the evening. It is better to take
the tablets before meals. By taking two doses of roxithromycin per day
at 1 2 hourly intervals you will ensure that you have maximum blood concentrations
for the whole 24 hours of each day. Do not take roxithromycin at the same
time as cisapride (Propulsid), dihydroergotamine, ergotamine (Cafergot),
bromocriptine (Parlodel), theophylline or aminophylline.
SURVECTOR (Amineptine)
A very fast acting antidepressant and powerful mental stimulant. Amineptine
is the preferred antidepressant for the treatment of hypochondria and chronic
fatigue. Amineptine has a specific action on dopamine levels in the brain
and very rapidly improves mood, increases motivation and boosts self-confidence.
Amineptine is far superior to fluoxetine (Prozac) because it does not inhibit
proper sexual functioning. The usual dosage is 1 to 2 tablets per day taken
before midday. Higher doses may cause agitation, irritability and insomnia.
Amineptine's specific action on mood is usually fully developed after 1
0 to 20 days of treatment. Do not use amineptine at the same time as any
MAOI. Generally amineptine has no side effects other than those related
to overstimulation. If amineptine causes insomnia it is necessary to reduce
the dose accordingly. Amineptine has a very unusual tendency to cause weight-loss
rather than the weight-gain that is experienced with many other antidepressants.
VIAGRA (sildenafil citrate)
Used to treat sexual dysfunction in men and women. Viagra improves erectile
function in men and generally improves sexual functioning, including libido,
arousal, orgasm and overall sexual satisfaction in both men and women.
The recommended dose is 50 mg approximately 1 hour before sexual activity.
According to individual response the dose may be lowered to 25 mg or raised
to 1 00 mg. The maximum recommended dose is 1 00 mg. The drug should be
used only once a day. If Viagra is taken with food its effects will be
delayed. Avoid Viagra if you have any kidney or liver impairment. Do not
use Viagra if you have any kind of heart problem. In particular, do not
use Viagra if are using any kind of heart medication. Do not take Viagra
at the same time as glyceryl trinitrate, isosorbide dinitrate, molsidomine,
nicorandil or any nitrate containing medicine including amyl nitrite "poppers".

VINPOCETINE
Improves blood flow in the brain, increases the brain's use of oxygen and
glucose and so improves the brain's efficiency and productivity. Can be
used for just a few weeks to boost intellectual activity or continuously
every day for years. At least 4 weeks treatment is needed to assess any
benefits. Short term use is preferred by younger individuals who may need
a mental boost from time to time and continuous use is favoured by older
people who want protection against brain aging and to reduce their risk
of a stroke. The usual dose is 5 mg 3 times a day. Vinpocetine may also
be used to treat tinnitus and to alleviate the symptoms of the menopause.
Vinpocetine is a safe drug and may be used for years without any problems.
Vinpocetine is not known to interact with any other drugs and so can be
safely taken in combination
ZOPICLONE.
Zopiclone sends you to sleep very quickly - not only does it start the
sleep process itself, but it also relaxes your body and removes all anxious
thoughts from your mind so allowing you to completely relax. Zopiclone
is a very efficient sleep inducing drug and facilitates those special aspects
of sleep (e.g., the deep sleep stages) which are necessary for proper recuperation
of mind and body. This means that you feel totally refreshed when you awake
in the morning. Zopiclone powerfully stimulates the processes of sleep
and maintains sleep through the night with no awakenings until morning.
Zopiclone is a very safe drug and does not cause either tolerance or dependence.
The use of zopiclone should not be combined with alcohol. Take 1 tablet
of 7.5 mg zopiclone at the moment you want to sleep. If you feel drowsy
in the morning then reduce the dose you take, i.e. take half a tablet.
